US - For the second year, Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc. (BIVI), has awarded $50,000 in Porcine Epidemic Diarrhoea (PED) research grants.
US - The 'At the Meeting' audio series highlights historical comparisons to PRV and a large-scale porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS) study, says Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc. The latest At The Meeting (ATM) audio programme on swine health from The Morrison Group covers new developments in the management of PRRS presented during the recent North American PRRS Symposium held in Chicago, Illinois, in December 2014. The ATM programme, which features disease, research and practical swine health information from leading veterinary experts, is available for the benefit of swine veterinarians and producers.
Boehringer Ingelheim funds three research projects against swine disease PRRS with €75,000 total and three winners have been chosen for this year's awards out of more than 30 high-quality proposals.
Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health has decided to remain focused on freshly mixed Porcine Circovirus type 2 (PCV2)/ Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae (M.hyo) vaccines and not follow the development of a PCV2/M.hyo ready-to-use (RTU) vaccine combination. As a consequence of this decision, the company has discontinued its PCV2/M.hyo RTU research program.
