Building on the success of previous Swine Expert Forum meetings, again 60 key stakeholders from science, retailers, slaughter houses, producers and the veterinary field from all over the world came together to exchange their knowledge, expertise and experience to tackle a burning issue for everyone involved in swine production. In a workshop important trends in global pig production and what these mean for the role of the pig food chain for sustainable food production are being discussed.

Boehringer Ingelheim is proud to announce the 2nd Boehringer Ingelheim IPVS Ileitis symposium during the IPVS 2006 congress in Copenhagen. The Symposium will take place on July 17 from 16.45h - 18.00h at the Congress Centre; Auditorium 15.
The highest level of reproductive performance will be found on farms where feed intake is adjusted to the need of each individual sow. For this reason it is necessary to have a farm-specific feeding regime where the body condition of each individual sow pre-farrowing is documented and feeding adjusted accordingly on a sow by sow basis.
